CHANGING THE LAW

As an office together with legal experts, we have so far participated in changing two laws in the Republic of Croatia. One law was about the collection of five packages, and the other law was about scholarships, for the last three years, we have been the main advisory office for the strategy of changing the law on copyright and related rights in the music industry in the digital age. One of our activities was a forum in which Dr. sc. Vesna Škare Ožbolt, former Minister of Justice, former Member of Parliament and lawyer, Ph.D. sc. Sandra Marković, a lawyer from the law firm Marković, Grbavac and Gliha and Valentina Šokec, a lawyer from the law firm Korper i partner. I would especially like to point out that the Ministry of Culture and Media, headed by Minister Nina Obuljen Koržinek, has not yet responded to the remarks and questions related to the assessment of the effects of this Act and its implementation in practice when the three-year period expires, which leaves the impression that in this case for the sake of personal interests manipulated the Law so that the funds belonging to the contractors are diverted to a non-profit organization.
