FOCUS 2017 starts in less then a month
First international conference on communication in public administration FOCUS 2017 starts on the December 1st in Terme Tuhelj. Conference is aimed at communication experts which work ina government institutions, local and regional government and self-government, government agencies and state-owned companies with a goal of opening discussions about strategies, tactics and communication processes.
Because of today's global situation in which communication is faster than ever, public administration is left vulnerable to criticism because of the slow and often unclear (bureaucratic) communication toward it's public. FOCUS represents a platform through which communication experts employed in public administration connect, exchange knowledge and experiences and participate in defining guidelines of new communication processes.
Under the moto „Closer to people“ conference will gather representatives of public and private sector so that they can start to accomplish the common goal of united progress through simple and transparent communication. Program will, through panel discussions, practical examples and presentations from renown experts, bring closer new technologies and solutions for communication problems, which will improve communication in public administration on regional level.
Some of the highlights of the conference are public discussion on the subject „Where are we going? Strategical communication and public administration“ moderated by Dražen Dretar, Head of the Protocol and Public Relations Office at Varaždin’s Department of Major’s affairs; presentation by Ian Farow, who will tell us about communication management in Municipality of Westminster and last block of presentations with the subject „Why Public Administration Needs PR Agencies“. These are just some of the examples of the all-day conference, but we are sure that every part of it will offer at least inspiration and an opportunity to create new values.
