2 weeks until 1st agricultural conference „Slavonika“
On March 17th, Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek will be center of gathering all generations of agricultural cycle. All of them will be gathered at the 1st agricultural conference „Slavonika“ under the motto „Inspiring agriculture!“
Minister of Agriculture, mr. Davor Romić will open the conference.
Some of the key topics at the conference are cooperation of EU and farmers, incentives of development banks, examples of good practice from EU, challenges of Croatian agriculture, production of barley and opportunities of family farms, future of the family farms, agricultural crops and role of fertilizer in sustainable production and livestock. All this fields will gather leading experts on panel discussions.
The institutional partner of the conference is European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Two representatives of EBRD will be present at the conference: mrs. Vedrana Jelušić Kašić, Head of Croatian office, and mrs. Victoria Zinchuk, Associate Director for Agribusiness, EBRD London.
The organizer of the conference is association „Land and People“ and the coorganizers are agency Apriori World, Faculty of Agriculture, Osijek, Faculty of Agriculture, Zagreb and Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR).
The 140 family farms from all Croatian countys confirmed their arrival. Also, 50 students of Faculty of Agriculture, Zagreb and 50 students of Faculty of Agriculture, Osijek will attend the conference. Special guests of the conference are students of two secondary agricultural schools from Osijek and Vinkovci.
All generations of agriculture will be present at one place- from one that represents the future of the Croatian agriculture till one who created new guidelines of Croatian agriculture.
