16th PRO PR conference

This international event was started with the idea of gathering distinguished experts from the field of public relations. Following the moto Networking in motion, PRO PR Conference is traditionally hosted by one of the countries in the region and this years host is Zlatibor, beautiful mountain town in Republic of Serbia.

 
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Vladimir Živanović, Director of the Tourist Organization Zlatibor, emphasized that Zlatibor is a tourist destination of Serbia and that he is very satisfied that one such conference came to Zlatibor. He also welcomed the participants of the conference.
 
”We are witnesses of the quick changes in the public relations, ethical challenges and transformations of the communication habits within different generations. Everybody present here is a part of very important and influential industry which has the power to change perceptions. PRO PR Conference is being held, for the 16th year in the row under, the moto Networking in motion. This moto hides the power of the conference, which has been connecting many of our colleagues from the field of communication management.“ Said Mr. Danijel Koletić, President of the Organizing Bord of PRO PR Conference, who also wished for all participants to learn new things , connect and have a good time in Zlatibor.
 
First lecture was held by Mrs Maja Jovanović from Novak Đoković Foundation. She was followed by Mrs. Olga Podoinitsyna, Member of the Board at VTB Capital from Russia and Mrs Robyn de Villiers, Chairman and CEO of Burson Cohn & Wolfe. First panel discussion was held that afternoon, on the subject „Radio and Public Relations Today’ and moderated by Mr John Shield, Director of Corporate Communications at BBC. Participants of the discussion were Silvija Londero, Director and Editor-in-Chief at Media Servis from Croatia, Arnela Lojo, PR Manager and Spokesperson at RSG Media Group from Bosnia & Herzegovina and Predrag Anđelković, CEO at S Media from Serbia.
 
Second day of the PRO PR Conference started with Mrs Nina Redžepagić, CEO at OR, from Montenegro, who spoke on the subject of internal communications. Considering that we are in digital age, it’s necessary to follow global trends so that we can be in step with 21st century. Mr Borislav Miljanović, CEO at Represent Communications, shared some interesting tips on improving your business in this new age.
 
Mrs Sophie Brendel, Director of Marketing and Communications at Victoria & Albert Museum from UK and Mrs Fiona Czerniawska, Co-Founder of the Source Global Research, also from UK, are some of the speakers which will spice up the second day of PRO PR Conference. Excellent communication expert, Mr Biagio Carrano, Founder and Director of eastCOM Consulting  from Italy, will through some case studies and his own experience give the participants unique knowledge and experience of his work in PR field.
 
In the afternoon, panel discussion on the subject „Public Relations and Public Relations Agencies“ was moderated by Marjan Novak, Director and Editor-in-Chief at Marketing Magazin from Slovenia. Panel participants were Marjeta Kirn Kljajić, Founder and Co-Owner of Advertising and PR agency Nicha from Slovenia, Tamara Bekčić, Managing Director &Co-Founder at Chapter 4 Communications Consulting agency from Serbia, Una Bejtović, CEO at Bejtovic Communications from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Jelena Pavićević, Founder & CEO Benefit Communications from Montenegro.
 
That night, PRO PR Awards gala dinner was held, for the 7th year in the row. Every project and business deal is carried by people and this recognition is a way to thank the individuals who stand behind those projects. This years winners of PRO PR Awards are significant experts which have through their work, ideas, dedication and knowledge gave value to the PR profession. Recognitions in the categories Vision City and Vision Manager are awarded to the city and manager of the host county of PRO PR Conference.
 
The third and final day of the PRO PR Conference began with a panel discussion on the topic of relations between media representatives and those working in Public Relations industry. The panel was led by moderator Robert Čoban, Owner of the Color Press Group publishing. The participants were Andreja Comino, Journalist at Media24, Goran Pejčić, Editor-in-Chief of Local News Program at Radiotelevision of Vojvodina, and Milica Jeremić, Editor-in-Chief at Kurir.rs.
 
Panelists discussed the differences between the media and public relations representatives and how important it is for them to find the much needed common language. Such symbiosis would avoid the cacophony of information and therefore enable more effective business management.
 
Sean Gardner, Co-Founder of the pioneering Huffington Post “Twitter Powerhouses Series“, concluded the Conference with his lecture on great digital marketing strategies for business. In his lecture, he shared useful tips on which tools to use and how to implement them to make the best use of social media in communications.
 
During the 3-day conference we are expecting over 200 participants from the region, who will contribute to the tradition of this event. Next PRO PR Conference will be held in Selce – Crikvenica.
